Opening Ritual
- The Gate of selfless kindness, compassion and sympathy for all beings.
- Begins with a Incense offering ritual. Reflective mindfulness concentration. Standing or sitting, relax body including the five sense and mind by slowing breathing and thoughts. Nothing is suppressed just acknowledged. "here is an inhale and there goes an exhale" Keeping in mind warm welcomes to all. And may all beings find peace of mind health of body and the conditions favorable in which they may receive the blessings of blissful peace and tranquility leading to self-realization of the Enlightenment Mind of our Buddha-nature. By self-cultivation of wisdom and selfless kindness, compassion and sympathy for all beings.

- Come Join us in sacred space as we renew the Earth through the unity of fellowship.As we bring forth our individual passions to flow in the spring plantings. As the wheel of the year turns, let us bring forth that natural energy and honour the Gods/Goddess,Archtypes, Spirit of the Land in celebration and worship. As we build this rite let us Empower our Souls to the strengthening of Life's Eternal Passions.
- Ritual Presenters Note: We will explore this rite in the style of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship. And as such there will be a pre-ritual briefing 15-20 min prior to the start of service. It is also asked that all who come and attend please bring a non perishable food item for donation to a local food pantry/bank.

- Candle Magic taught by: Malissa Wilcox: estimated value $30
- Need help in learning how to create your own spell and how to choose the right candle? The workshop will help you on that path. There will be hand outs and candles. Come join us for 45 min of fun and learning.
- Malissa Wilcox:I have been a practicing Witch since I was 13. I have studied various Wiccan paths and other religions. I became an ordained minister in August of 2007. I am currently teaching 6 students who are working on their first year and a day. I live in Alton with my husband, Luke and my daughter, Aramet. We also have 2 four-legged babies, Shady and Jasmine. My hobbies are reading and collecting occult books and items.

- Drummers if you would like to participate in the evening performance of Snakes Rising it is mandatory you come to this workshop!!
- Dave will teach Beginning and Intermediate Middle Eastern Drumming.
- This workshop will show participants how to properly play the dumbeck, emphasizing the three basic hits. Also ten common Arabic rhythms will be demonstrated with ample time for practicing. Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to drum with Snakes Rising at the conclusion of the Saturday evening show. Drummers bring your Dumbeks, Riqs, & Frame Drums! We’ll also have some to share.
- Sacred Art: Creations for Worship and Healing estimated value $15
- Join with Lyon on a guided meditation through the private landscape of your hidden vision. Discover the shapes and colors that have the most meaning for you, today on your present life path. After the meditation we will create Sacred Mandalas from the insight received. No previous drawing ability or training needed. Bring your favorite colored pencils, markers or crayons and unlined paper, plus a firm surface to lean your paper on. All ages.

- How does a Witch handle psychic attacks, magickal self-defense and protection magicks? Let's take a look at common and not-so-common problems you may encounter and discuss solutions on how to effectively deal with these situations for the best results.
- Reiki, The Gift of Healing Hands by Mickie Mueller estimated value $30
- Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. This is a amazingly simple technique to learn.
- This workshop will include a lecture on what Reiki is and how to apply it, handouts, and everyone who wants to, will get a Reiki attunement by Reiki Master/Teacher Mickie Mueller at the end of the workshop.

- Magical Body Art by Mickie Mueller estimated value $30
- Decorating the body with magical designs is a tradition that goes back well into the stone age and is a part of many cultures around the world. Such designs have been used as magical protection,rites of passage, even to denote a members status within the tribe. There are many ways we can use the many techniques of body art in varied degrees of permanence from permanent tattoos to temporary body painting in order to boost magic and healing work,express connections with deity, and manifest transformation within ourselves.
- The lecture segment will include:
- A brief but facinating look at the history of body art in the context of magic. I will share simple ink techniques for quick magic great for quick healing or an energy boost. Everyone will get a handout with color correspondences and magical symbols. Tattoo ink can be blessed and there are methods to make a tattoo sacred for healing, protection, rites of passage, and other purposes. I will discuss how Henna temporary body art can be used for manifestation. Magical techniques for body/face paint including gentle herb infusions to add magic to the paint, methods and supplies and suggestions for use.
- After the brief lecture, attendees will be invited to participate in creating and/or receiving magical body/face art, I will include all supplies, body paint and brushes, and encouragement! This is a fun hands-on workshop!

- Learn earth centered chants that will be played during the evening performance. Participants of this workshop may join in with Snakes Rising's performance later that night. It will give you the opportunity to prepared to be an active participant in the evening festivities lead by Snakes Rising.
- Introduction to bellydance by Shiva Raye and Jajira. estimated value $25
- Shiva Raye and Jajira will lead attendees in one or two brief "choreographies" for the evening performance. These will be *beginner* oriented with a choice of Cabaret style (by Shiva Raye) and American Tribal Style (by Jajira.).
- What is Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship( or what its not) estimated value Invaluable
- In this program, We will explore what A.D.F. is in the terms of its history. What it means to this community and what it will offer you as a local pagan. You will find out what kinds of study programs that are being offered at the National Level . In addition to finding a brief introduction to A.D.F.'s Liturgy that is going to be the Main rite here at Spirit Awaking. There will be a Q&A session at the end of this program and you will find several handouts available with National and local contact information to those who might wish to explore further
Children's Programming
- Alter cloth workshop:
- Supplies provided:
- Fabric paint, markers, sponges, templates, paint brushes, paint pans, drop cloths, glitter glue, fruits and veggies, Feathers, stones, nuts, leaves, flowers, ribbons/yarn, tea lights.
- Overview:
- Children will get to explore the building of their spiritual/ritual space with a hands on creations of personalized alter cloths and creation of their spiritual space/alter. Brief explanations of why it's important for everyone to have personal connection tools, as well as how to use personal ritual areas.
- Aura workshop:
- Supplies provided:
- Templates, backdrop, crayons/markers/colored pencils, samples.
- Overview:
- Children can create aura samplings of each other. Each child will get a chance to stand before the group to pose while the others will read and reproduce auras on templates provided. (this may be an individual or group instead of `in front of everyone' depending on the shyness of the group) Each child will then have several samples of their aura to take home. Each child will be gifted with literature with general meanings of colors, as well as helpful hints on how to excel in viewing auras,so that each child can expand if they wish on their own.
- Make your own stained glass
- Children will be making their own stained glass by placing crayon shavings and other miscellaneous items between wax paper. Adults will then iron the wax paper. After stained glass is cooled we will cut them into shapes and tie strings for hanging and will be ready to take home. All materials will be provided.
- Rune workshop:
- Supplies provided:
- Photos, markers, paper, pens/pencils, rune guides, displayboards, folders
- Overview:
- Children will get to explore the world of runes with a brief history. Identification and interpretations of the runes they find via photos or in everyday life. Each child will receive a set of runes, a rune guide along with introductory meanings.
